(such examples of the original diagonal reeded edge are rare as the law of 1732 made it compulsory under threat confiscation & years of jail time, to return all coins to the mint for rechecking & application of the new Fleur-de-Lis edge). 28.62g. KM-139. aEF/aUNC, obv unfortunately slightly smoothed, while rev is sharply struck with no visible wear & nice patina. Impressive short lived large size issue from scarcer date. (P) |
