1857-59 Swan 2d brown-black on red, error PRINTED BOTH SIDES (inverted on reverse). Fresh UN, somewhat irregular margins, being in at UL but with portions of another stamp at LL. SG 15a cat £3250 = A$7600 & ridiculously underpriced as normal SG 15 cat £2500, so we think SG 15a should cat £10,000+. While used examples of SG 15a are many times scarcer than SG 15 & relatively undercatalogued, they are nevertheless regularly available at auctions. However, with UN examples the difference in rarity in much greater. UN examples of SG 15 are very rare, but most major collections of WA have had 1 or 2 examples, but looking through auction catalogues for major collections of last 30 years we have been enable to find a single UN example of SG 15a having ever being offered, and the Royal Collection does not have one either!
