The Beatles "Yesterday and Today" legendary "Butcher Cover" featuring the band with cut chops & decapitated dolls. Withdrawn on day of issue. Expertly peeled (no damage to cover, which is almost split in half) with original record. The immediate "Cabinent" 1965 re-issue which now is quite scarce also included. A badly minced damaged cover was sold in Adelaide for around $1000 many years ago. Major rarity. Recently, a sealed Butcher Cover stereo album sold for US$67,500! This is the holy grail for true Beatles collectors! (P) |
