WW2 GROUP OF 8 'WINTERHILFSWERK (WHW)' WINTER HELP WORK FUND PAINTED TIE ON HITLER YOUTH (HJ) AND WEHRMACHT EQUIPMENT SYMBOLS. Manufactured from plastic and possibly metal or ceramic material. Worn on civilian clothing to show that the wearer had made a contribution to the WHW fund. The WHW ran from 1933-1945 during the months of October through to March and was designed to provide food, clothing, coal and other items to less fortunate Germans during the winter months. Assorted sizes. A really nice group consisting of a plastic HJ knife (really nicely detailed), a plastic HJ trumpet (complete with a HJ sig rune trumpet banner attached), a plastic HJ drum, a rifle, a water flask, a mess tin, a backpack and a bread bag. Some wear to the painted finish on a couple of the items. Each has a tiny hole for a thread to pass through for attaching to civilian attire. All 8 items are attached to a piece of red material covered card for display. Date on the card reads 10-11 May 1941. Couple of moth nips to the material on the back of the card (not seen when displayed). A super little group of iconic Third Reich related items ready for display. O/A Grade II-
