Germany: WW2 1936 OLYMPICK GAMES COMMEMORATIVE WHITE PORCELAIN BELL SHAPED MONEY BOX. Stands approx. 110mm high and 98mm across the diameter of the base. One side features a stylised Third Reich eagle clutching the Olympic Rings. The opposite side shows an image of the Brandenburg Gate. All in raised detail. Across the circumference of the bell's ring is '1-16 August 1936 11. Olympic Spiele Berlin'. Also features two small swastika and oak leaves within the text. Once again, all in raised detail. Small circular lockable w/m door to the base (no key). Manufacturers details in green wording to the base 'Erzeugnis der Porzellanstadt selb Bayer Ostmark'. There is a small chip off the very top of the bell, where the slot for money is. It appears that at some stage someone has attempted to repair the damage. Regardless, this is a delicate and attractive item for display. Grade II
