Great Britain: SOUVENIR OF HMS BIRMINGHAM. A 7.5cm high, slightly curved octagonal shaped dark timber container with an open top section. A small polished silver plaque is affixed to it's side impressed with the following wording, "From the Teak of HMS Birmingham of dogger bank and Jutland fame." Also has the manufacturer's name "Lister Wood Craft" on 9 August 1914, she was credited with the first German U-boat loss to an enemy warship when she rammed U-15 as it began to dive, cutting her in two, the U-boat going down with all hands. She sang two German merchant ships that same year and took part in the battles of Heligoland, Dogger Bank and Jutland. She was sold for scrap in February, 1931. Grade II-
