USA: WW2 FUR TRIMMED PARKA (NON-REVERSIBLE). Manufactured from olive drab poplin material. Large loose fitting garment designed to cover the torso and body down to the knees. Two large slash cut pockets to the front. Fur trimmed hood with thick rope cord for tightening around the head. Cuffs also trimmed with fur and both have string pulls present for tightening. No discernible markings. Could possibly be a British made piece as it is a variant of the typical US parka. There are no flaps over the slash cut pockets and it is not reversible but other than that there is a very similar example on page 112 of "Government Issue" Vol 2 2008 by Enjames. Shows service wear and minor fading to the material from laundering. Grade II-
