1939-45 WHITE TOP INFANTRY MAJOR'S VISOR CAP. White cotton. Detachable top cover. Gilt bullion insignia to the front for unattached infantry. Black leather visor and black leather chinstrap with gilt unattached infantry side buttons. Brown leather sweatband with size "57" paper stamp attached. Interior celluloid sweat diamond with maker "Cigna Melchior, Torino". A hard to find visor cap. Still in VGC. Grade II.
1939-45 INFANTRY EM'S PITH HELMET. In very nice condition, retaining the distinctive pith helmet shape. Extra long rear flare to shade the neck. Khaki coloured material covering. Single green painted ventilation grommet to either side. Large brass metal em's infantry badge with a green, red and white material rosette behind. Badge features crossed swords and a crown, a centre roundel with a black painted cross to its centre. Green cotton inner showing heavy sweat staining (very salty). Intact brown leather leatherette sweat band but very brittle. Cork suspension in place. Brass metal ventilation grommet to the apex of the inner dome. No visible ink stamps. No chinstrap. Nice display item. Grade II- (P)
1939-45 ITALIAN BLACK SHIRT (MSVN) FELT FEZ HAT FOR MEDICAL OFFICER. Complete with its original to fringe and gilt bullion insignia. Black felt outer in very good o/a condition. Single gilt bullion chevron to the left hand side indicating the rank of Lieutenant. Handsome hand embroidered Medical Officer's gilt bullion cap badge with the Fascist symbol and intertwined snakes. Large plume of black silk like thread that sits to the right hand side. Leather sweatband with small paper size label and gilt embossed writing "High Life". Leather is in very good condition and shows little sign of wear. Fine cream coloured silk material lining. Well marked with makers logo details "Bagnara Italia." This is a superbly made piece of headgear that displays beautifully. Grade II
1942-60 MOD PARATROOPER HELMET. Post war olive green steel shell (which could be a refurbished WW2 shell). Brown leather liner and front pad. Olive web chinstrap arrangement. These are almost identical to the WW2 example made famous by the Falgore Division. Only the webbing chinstraps and liner was changed to new improvements. Ideal for use in a WW2 display. Grade II-.
1930s-40s AVIATION GOGGLES, TINTED LENSES. WHITE rubber eye-pieces stamped: "V299.76." Good elastic head band, in their o/d painted tin, O/a Grade II.
Ca1939-45 FLYING GOGGLES. By: "Protector". Nickel frames with clear glass lenses. Rubberised padding. Broad elastic strap. Almost mint condition. C/W green painted Alum. storage tin. Goggles are similar to German Bomber Pilots Style. Choice pair. Grade II+
