Upington Border Scouts: 2/- dated '1-3-02', serial number 'K977', black ink on brownish cloth, black h/s 'ISSUED BY PAYMASTER B.S.UPINGTON' at top & h/s of Border Scout arms at left with jackal in circular frame & crown above, m/s text 'Pay to bearer the sum of two shillings pounds for pay / J Birkbeck Major OC'. P-S711a listed but unpriced. 2020 Ceremuga certificate of authenticity. Graded PMG 30 'Very Fine', and overall much nicer condition than the technical grade suggests with non-faded writing.
