A production of the infamous forger David Gee. Only 6 examples struck by him. Excellent reference item, the only way most people will ever own one of these coins. (P)

Kangaroo Office Port Phillip 1853 Gold 2oz. This example ex collection of the infamous forger David Gee is struck in 24ct gold. (ex Status auction 217). One of only 6 examples struck by him!!! Only 3 genuine examples recorded, 2 of which are in museums. A similar Port Phillip 1oz sold in our auction 209. It was subsequently offered for auction interstate, estimated $12,000 - $14,000 (and sold). (P)
