1934 England-Australia MacRobertson Air Race covers of the only officially carried mail by KLM with Holland-Australia (2), & Dutch Indies-Australia covers, plus a cover carried privately by pilot Parmentier & endorsed as such, franked GB ½d & 1d tied by 'Manchester 18 OC 34' cds & original departure cds of 'Mildenhall A'dme 19 OC 34' Also a large original Press photo of the KLM & others apparently at the starting line. 1934 England-Australia MacRobertson Air Race unofficially carried GB KGV 1½d envelope with '18 OC 34' cds, plus Australia KGV 2d red for return to England tied by 'Melbourne 25 OC 34' pmk. Also letter from Dutch pilot Parmentier agreeing to sign the cover, which he & co-pilot Moll have done on flap, suggesting this was carried by them unofficially with only 4 covers flown this way. Also a contemporary photo of them & a printed card regarding a forced landing in Albury. AAMC 444(var). (P)
