OP's inc Pozieres, Somme, Messines, Ypres, Passchendaele, Villers Brett, Amiens, Hindenburg Line, disch Sydney 27/2/1919. Recommended for Distinguished Conduct Medal but awarded MM vide LG 21/8/1917: 'During operations at Messines on 8th & 10th June 1917, he showed great devotion to duty & bravery in supervising stretcher bearers & assisting in the collection of wounded under very heavy fire.
