 1936 Registered parcel wrapper for small packet sent by airmail from Bathurst (30 Oct) to UK, endorsed ?5oz?, franked 1922-27 KGV 1d, 3d, 2/-, 5/- and 10/-. All tied by Bathurst, Gambia cds with oval 'Registered GPO Gambia 30 NOV 36'. SG 124, 128, 136, 141, 142 cat £275 as loose stamps & 'from x8' on cover. From 1934-37 almost all airmails were carried by Lufthansa as Bathurst was a stop on its South America service. Proud lists the Zeppelin Hindenberg picking up mail at Bathurst 1.11.1936 and dropping at Las Palmas to be taken onwards by plane. A remarkable survivor, red crayon marks, 2/-, 5/- & 10/- corner faults. Certainly unique usage. (P)
