East Africa: 1916 Prepaid 'Frank' envelopes -all about 150-160 x 125-130mm on blue, grey, orange & buff papers, each with a cachet 'Kaiserl Postdirektor Deutsche-Ostafrica' arms in violet, or shades of black, ea additionally h/s 'Frankiert mit 7 1/2 H' in same colour as Arms, ex the buff with carmine h/s, plus a black cut-out. Also smaller size arms cachets from Dar-es-Salaam (2 diff), black with blue-green h/s on dark grey envelope, black Arms with carmine h/s on buff, this larger (190x130mm), plus a cut-out in same colours, & also for Tanga in black with violet h/s, 2 with user imprints front or back. 3 with centre fold & the largest with some moth-holes, o/w VF fresh UN.
