1940-41 3 embroidered Rising Sun pillow cover souvenirs from Egypt & Palestine. Has Rising Sun & a pocket to add photo of soldier c360mmx370mm. Small wear to bottom left. Egypt c460mmx450mm (without fringe). Rising Sun in cream embroidery on black velvet background. About 1cm break in the fringe & couple of small areas of loss to embroidery. Palestine 1941 c650mmx840mm. Impressive design but various small holes from fabric wear & a nasty rodent chew near top corner. Palestine 1940 beautiful embroidery with fresh & bright colours. (3) |
