Army.1854 Scots Guard Crimea War period ammunition pouch badge. The original 4 lugs to the reverse have been removed c1870 for wear with the valise equipment. Solder to centre indicates where the valise bracket (now removed) was added. Later struck badges were identical in design, but without the 4 x lugs to reverse for ammo pouch flap. gVF. An excellent addition to a Scots Fusilier Guards Crimea War display. |
