Bayonet 1856 pattern sword/bayonet for use with the Enfield rifles. These were used in many of Britain's Victorian Wars & were also sold to America for use in the Civil War both sides. No scabbard. Stamped ?/WD, crown/28/B & the Solingen pattern stamp to reverse, 371 stamped to knuckle guard. Minor surface rust, pit & nicks to blade. |
