21167 Click for more photos | Army. Slouch hats. Unissued WWII (2). One early war style & the other wartime austerity pattern. The early pattern hat has the edge binding & and the brim fastener & chin strap hooks sewn in. Dated 1942, size 7½. Liner is partly loose, brown eyelets, no puggaree. The austerity pattern has raw edge, press stud & riveted hooks. Large size. Liner is missing, brown eyelets for ventilation. All attributes indicate a wartime made hat. Unissued, minor moth nibbles on 1942 hat. These hats are becoming scarce. Particularly pre-austerity pattern ones. (2) | SOLD at A$700 | ||
