Army. 1942 WWII khaki cotton, 4 pocket jacket to a Captain who is a Chaplain. Interesting 1942 dated label marked Q50 & 'Special Measure Made in Australia'. Tunic has no collar badges (these are easy to replace) but has sew-in shoulder boards for a Chaplain with the 2 black stripes. Rank pips were never added. Instead set of rare slip-ons (also to a Chaplain) were used. Jacket has all KC oxidised buttons & cloth belt. No 'AUSTRALIA' titles were worn (so service in Australia most likely). Very clean tunic with some light sweat/age marks on rear of collar. A rare WWII tunic to a Chaplain with rare rank slip-ons for a Captain. |
