Army. 1944 women's WWII Red Cross 4 pocket khaki with khaki wool coat. Tunic dated 1944 by V579, all red buttons & insignia inc enamel/oxidised Transport Driver badge, enamel/oxidised collars, cloth Red Cross arm badge & cloth red/yellow Service chevron. Complete with cloth belt. The double breasted coat is made of khaki gabardine quality wool, all but 1 Red Cross buttons (oxidised), cloth Red Cross arm badge with 2 red bars below, no label or date. No name in either garment. Tunic may have had colour patches. Presumed both pieces belong to same owner. Jacket has scattered mothing (especially the cuffs), 2 holes to front. Coat has the odd snag/moth, very clean & fresh looking. Nice, displayable uniform set. Hard to find to WWII 1944 Australian Red Cross Society OR's jacket. Matching overcoat @ U213. |
