Army. NSW Scottish Regt dress tunic 1950s-60s in dark green wool, enlisted rank, stripped. Made by CGCF with stand collar, Scottish cuffs piped in gilt wire, princess seams to rear & a tail with piped pocket flaps in dark blue facing. Shoulder boards are sewn-in type. Not named to a soldier. The tunic has been used & then stripped. Traces for collar badges, rank stripes, metal trade badges. KC white metal Map of Australia buttons have been added with split pins through the shank. Top button hole fraying & repair to shoulder board button area, 1 collar eye missing. Moderate wear. Needs a good clean to remove dirt marks & sweat stains. Damage/fraying to bullion piping on cuffs & cuffs also. Potential for restoration & display. Seldom seen NSW Scottish Regt & OR's dress jacket. |
