Army. Pre-WWII Officer's 4 pocket dark blue wool dress blues to a Lieutenant. Tailor's label to 'Jack Solomon, Ladies & Gents Tailor' 326 Bourke St, Darlinghurst Sydney' Has brass rank pips & brass KC map of Australia buttons. Made with the earlier stand collar. The collar badges are missing, but had North-South lugs. Pointed cuffs & princess seams at rear. Never had a belt. Bottom (external) pockets never made with button closures. Tear to inside lining near one arm pit. Has ribbons for service in WWI, corresponding to a trio. Not named. A lightly worn jacket with no mothing or damage. A nice pre WWII possibly 1920s-30s dress blues jacket to a WWI veteran (LT). |
