Army. Officer's Service dress, khaki wool tunic with cloth titles for Royal Australian Signals. Likely BCOF worn by a Lieutenant. Tailored, 4 pocket Officer's Service dress jacket, no label or obvious name. Stripped of insignia except for Royal Australian Signals cloth titles. Interestingly these are sewn on in the style also used for locally tailored garments from Japan/Asia for BCOF personnel. Below these titles is the shadow of a square cloth badge (BCOF?). Also signs of WWII overseas stripes (2). Tunic has ribbon bars for WWII service in Africa, the Pacific & Australia. No provision for cloth belt when made. Scattered moth grazing. Medium wear. Presentable Officer's tunic to a WWII veteran. Can be easily restored. |
