HILL, NSW. MR.' Norton Gordon Hill, born 1876, Lieutenant with Victorian Garrison Arty 1898, to Australian Garrison Arty, Oct 1899 & Reserve of Officers Dec 1899, appointed Lieutenant for service in South Africa with the Machine Gun Section of the 3rd, NSW, Mounted Rifles Contingent. Op's Eastern Transvaal & Eastern Orange River Colony from April 1901, RtA & disch on medical grounds, Sydney June 1902, to Aust Field Artillery, Perth WA, Jan 1906, to Aust Garrison Arty Oct 1907 & to Reserve of Officers, WA, 1911. No further service. Light, attractive patination, only slight field marks. aEF. Very desirable & scarce to an MG Specialist Officer and Regular soldier. With brief research. |
