Patrick Stephen Murphy, born Dublin 1919, served Royal Engineers from 12/10/1938 to 28/8/1946, enlisted Aust Regular Army for service in Korea 1/4/1952, resident Goodwood, South Aust to 1st Field Regt, RAA 17/6/52 to 4 BN RAR 10/3/1954, to Korea with 1 BN RAR 12/1/1955-24/3/1956, to 14th Nat Serv Train. BN. 1956, Bombardier 1956. 20th NSTB & 1st Fld Regt RAA, 1957 to Malaya with 100 (A) Field Battery, RAA Sept 1957-Oct 1959, Sergeant 12/7/1961, Singapore with 103 Bty 13/7/62 - 15/3/63. Discharged medically unfit 1965. Reference to the theft of his 1939-45 Defence medal in Aust Service & presumably re-issued a named one, with his current service details by Aust Gov't. Together with photo of 'Paddy' Murphy as a baby, 2 of him in British Army uniform c/1946 & 1 photo c/Korea War, also with his steel ID tag pr & medal ribbon bar. With research notes.
