1914-1918 fascinating WWI trio. 1914 Star with rosette, BWM & Victory medal. Star 1061 1/A.M.S. JAMES R.F.C., medals 1061 SGT S. JAMES R.F.C. Sydney James includes a Death Plaque name engraved, named certificate & printed cert from the King. Plaque some verdigris. Sydney James was born in Brisbane, enlisted 26-1-14 & is listed as Pilot First Class 29-5-17. His National Archive file AIR 79-14 indicates a date of discharge of 6-4-18 when he was transferred to NZ General Hosp Walton-on-Thames. Did he die? Was he later killed, is the plaque not related?
