Aust Army 1939-46 Medal group of 4 (1939-45 Star, Defence, War & Aust Service Medals), pay books, documents, photos & ephemera to Maurice Douglas Chad (NX 28510). Served in Syria in WW2. Includes medals, 2 pay books (show use), RAS badge, discharge certificate, AIF driver's licence, large framed colour certificate from the District of Barraba (excellent condition), for 1939 & a welcome home card for soldiers of Barraba 1946. Plus a photo album of his time in Syria, crashed planes, artillery trucks, snow & locals. Two silver rings and leather document folder named to Maurice. Ephemera includes ID card & pass (2), soldier train & tram tickets, Army clothing cards, troop ship cards, a sympathy card for a soldier killed in 17Bn, Invitation to Royal Wedding (Charles & Diana) copy?? RSL certificate, wartime notebooks, many loose WWII photos. Some mixed condition, mostly G-VGC. Interesting & extensive & worthy of proper presentation. (100+) |
