1899-1902 Boer War Prisoner of War, 10th Prince of Wales's Own Royal Hussars Queen's South Africa Medal. 'Ghost date' reverse with 8 clasps: RofK; PAAR; DRIEF; JOH; DIA.H; WITT; SA01; SA02. Impressed officially:'3791 PTE G. CORNWELL, 10TH HUSSARS'. POW at Uniondale 19.08.1901 noted as 'rejoined' on casualty list. The last 2 clasps are original, but later additions. Cornwall also received the KSA with both clasps (this last not present). With copies of Medal Roll & Casualty Roll. gVF. Scarce 6 bar (excluding the date bars) QSA to a POW. |
