1914-18 Star Trio & private Company commemorative Services Rendered Plaque. Star impressed officially: '76383 A-BMBR. A. JOHNSON, RFA', British War & Victory: '76383 DVR. A. JOHNSON, RA.'. Arthur Johnson, born Stafford, 1896, enl Royal Field Artillery 15/1/1915, to France 2/9/1915, discharged due to sickness, aged 22, 21/9/1918. Last unit 59th Reserve Battery. With an elaborate, high relief, silvered pressed brass plaque set on timber stand, design by sculptor 'Geddes'. Design of upright figure of St George resting on sword, sun burst behind, and slain dragon beneath feet, scroll at top: 'Lotus Ltd, to Gunner Arthur Johnson, for service rendered in the Great War 1914-19'.
