Manchukuo: ND (1932) gold Tael, obv Chinese character 'fu' (= 'blessing'), rev '24 K / 1000' to indicate fineness. These gold taels were minted for the Japanese controlled Bank of Manchukuo for bullion storage & special transactions, and not for general circulation. 37.49g. KM-X1.1, L&M-1067, K-1595. NGC graded 'AU details, edge filing' which seems unduly harsh as the marks on edge are totally insignificant, while there is no wear visible so should have been rated as UNC details - see all the photos (Comparing to pictures of other examples of this type that have been previously sold over the years in various auctions, this seems to be the nicest overall quality example. The surfaces & details on both sides are much superior to all other examples offered as AU that we could find. It even seems clearly nicer than examples that had been described as UNC details, as all showed significantly more marks etc than this coin). Extremely rare & historically significant.
