Major rarity in unused condition as the 1Fr vermilion is the rarest classic stamp of France. It was withdrawn after short period of use due to getting confused with the 40c value due to colours appearing similar in the poor indoor lighting conditions of the 1849 period, & then accordingly replaced with the 1Fr red-brown color.
